Understanding the Patterns and Causes of Economic Crises Across History and Regions

The economic crisis has been a recurring feature of human history, affecting different regions

and countries in different ways. From the Great Depression to the 2008 financial crisis

(subprime mortgage crisis), to the COVID-19 inflation, these crises have had significant

economic and social consequences. The research proposal aims to understand the patterns and

causes of economic crises across history and region, analyze their effects, and to find

maximum potential solutions.

Analysis of the data on the economic crisis occurred in various forms and had various effects.

Among these effects are the stock market collapse, such as the dot-com bubble, the Japanese

bubble of the 1980s, the collapse of Lehman Brothers due to the subprime mortgage crisis,

and the Greek economic crisis caused by the eurozone crisis. This influence affected not only

the countries that occurred but also other countries, which caused more damage to some

countries. It can be seen as one of the goals of this article to contribute to overcoming the

crisis by analyzing these effects and considering the causes.

This research proposal will use a method of comparing and analyzing data and literature on

economic crises across countries and periods. The study uses a number of data sources,

including economic data and academic papers, to identify the content of the economic crisis.

It also enables policymakers and economists to come up with solutions to potential solutions
to prevent or mitigate the economic crisis.

The economic crisis has many mixed effects. The focus of this study is to understand the

causes of these complex effects. And by analyzing the causes of these various economic

crises, we will aim to predict and prepare for the economic crisis by identifying common and

differences in the impact.
