Vannda is one of the most talented hip-hop artists in Cambodia. Vannda has had a passion
for music from a young age and has always dreamed of being a star. One of the many things he’s
known for is that he’s good at story-telling. All of his songs have a hidden message for the
youngsters to discover. For example, his song “Time to rise” expressed his appreciation for the
legendary musician “Kong Nai” and how far Cambodia’s music has come. Something he is also
good at is adapting himself to the trends and always improving himself. For instance, when he
started his music career, he wasn’t a rapper. But as soon as he found that he has a talent for
rapping, he used it to his own advantage. One more thing that might not be a surprise is that he is
very good at composing songs. He has a really creative way with making beats. He always finds
a way to reuse parts of old Khmer songs and turn into something new. As evidence, not too long
ago he created a catchy hip-hop beat from the song “Jit Prey Psai” by Preab Sovath. The beat
itself has gained a lot of attention from Cambodian Tik Tok users. Ever since he became famous,
Vannda has shown us nothing but his talents. He will surely become the face of hip-hop for
Cambodia in the future.
