Charcoal Briquettes

Process

The process of making eco-friendly coconut charcoal briquettes involves several steps that
prioritize sustainability and minimize environmental impact. Here is an overview of the process:
Coconut Shell Collection: The first step is to collect coconut shells, which are a natural byproduct
of coconut production. These shells are sourced from coconut farms, ensuring a renewable and
sustainable resource. Shell Drying: The collected coconut shells are thoroughly dried to reduce
moisture content. This step is crucial as it enhances the efficiency of carbonization and ensures a
high-quality end product. Carbonization: The dried coconut shells undergo carbonization, a
process where they are heated in the absence of oxygen. This process removes volatile
compounds and leaves behind carbonized coconut shell material known as "char." Crushing and
Sizing: The carbonized coconut shells are crushed into smaller pieces and sized to achieve
consistency. This step helps in obtaining uniform briquette sizes and facilitates efficient
combustion during grilling. Binder Addition: Natural binders, such as vegetable starch or a specific
ratio of water, are added to the crushed coconut shell material. These binders help in holding the
briquettes together and provide structural integrity. Mixing and Molding: The crushed coconut
shell material, along with the binders, is thoroughly mixed to ensure a homogeneous blend. The
mixture is then molded into the desired briquette shape using specialized equipment. Drying and
Curing: The newly molded briquettes are dried under controlled conditions to remove excess
moisture. This step contributes to the briquettes' ignitability and improves their burning
efficiency. Quality Control: The briquettes undergo rigorous quality control checks to ensure they
meet the desired standards. This includes assessing factors such as size, density, moisture content,
and overall quality. Packaging: Once the briquettes pass quality control, they are packaged in eco-
friendly materials, such as biodegradable bags or recycled paper packaging. This further
emphasizes the commitment to sustainability throughout the production process. By following
these steps, eco-friendly coconut charcoal briquettes are created, offering a renewable and clean-
burning alternative for grilling enthusiasts while minimizing the impact on the environment.

Charcoal Briquettes?

Shell charcoal is produced organically, without chemicals, and in an easy way. Every increase in
production capacity would also imply that we could reach more locations and farmer groups; as a
result, the more we produce, the more families our all-encompassing system is able to stabilize.

How is coconut charcoal produced?

Charcoal made from burning coconut shells in a pyrolysis method has a strong calorific value when
burned because it contains enough carbon and volatile materials. SunMori provides specialized
training to farmers so they can regularly produce highquality charcoal. Due to our flawless
carbonizing process, our product has a high heat of about 500 degrees Celsius and 6700–7000
calorific value. No smoke, no spark, and white ash. White or low ash and moisture levels under 6–
7% improve the pleasure of smoking barbecue.

How do we produce top-notch briquettes?

Our motto is dedication, perseverance, and the pursuit of perfection. This is shown in the care we
take to choose coconuts from the appropriate region and varieties that have a high oil content and
provide superior raw materials. Our team is properly educated and trained with quality as the
primary idea; as a result, everyone in the SunMori CHARCOAL team solely has quality and
customer satisfaction as their top priorities. Our product is continually improved to provide long
lasting efficiency that is more costeffective to serve our users the best. QUALITY WILL ALWAYS
LEAD. We invest in and update our machines virtually every month

Usage Instructions

Use Bara Bara Charcoal and ignite it for 12 to 14 minutes on a gas stove. Move it on the grill head
once it has fully lit up bright and red. Be careful not to use too much since the hexagonal design
with the hole in the centre and high compression encourage oxygen flow throughout the burning,
which produces great heat and efficiency. The charcoal will burn completely on its own and last
for over three hours, depending on your grill and airflow, so you won't need to fan it after it is lit.
