This module is designed to acquire knowledge, skills, and attitude


in performing the Front Office Services tasks by providing a series of
learning activities to achieve the following learning competencies: 1) use
of tools, equipment, and paraphernalia; 2) maintenance of tools,
equipment, and paraphernalia, 3) mensuration and calculation, 4) the
practice of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) procedures, and 5)
interpretation of design and layout.

The preliminaries of this exploratory module include the 1)


discussion of the relevance, of course, 2) explanation of key concepts
relative to the course, and 3) exploration of career opportunities.

Nowadays the essential parts of the company are the Front of Office
Services in the layman terms there are so-called the receptionist. Right now,
the common terms used are the Front liner. In every field of the career, there
was a receiving area which is responsible for the receiving and dispatching of
good and services.
There are accountable for the proper channeling of the transactions in any
field of works. In every department or unit of the companies, there are
respective front office services that help you with your concern. Such as in
department store the information area is the best example of front office
services, in a parking area, there is a valet station who is the one responsible
for your car parking, in the hotel the reception areas are the one taken up your
issued such as check-in and check out and many other that you can identify
and understand the functions of the front office services.
As a receptionist or front liner, you must have a simple tool, equipment,
and paraphernalia used in their field of works. Most of them must have a
skilled receptionist, which requires developing many manual skills using

different tools and equipment. An hour of practice is required to become
competent at using different tools, equipment, and paraphernalia for receiving
a transaction.

As we discussed above are the absolute minimum for any offices. Then, we will
also consider some office equipment that is not strictly necessary, but it might
