 Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: born in a musician family, he


stated to play and compose so young, he wrote 600 wrote

considered exemplars for other musicians because of their
grace, revolutionary harmony, and melodic lines.

 Ludwig van Beethoven: we can say that he was the first


romantic or late classical composer, his symphonies, piano
sonatas, and string quartets are between the most famous
and influential musical works ever written

 Joseph Haydn: named the “Father of the Symphony" and


"Father of the String Quartet". He acquired a huge ability
developing musical forms like the symphony and string
quartet. Haydn's music is known for its innovations with
musical form and his unique melodies.

 Franz Schubert: born in a family of teachers, he


development a study method for his students, also wrote a
lot of lieder, piano pieces, and chamber and orchestral
music. His melodies were considered as a gift for musical
development, and fusion of Classical forms with
passionate emotional expression of the early Romantic
era.

 Frederic Chopin: was an admired composer and virtuoso


pianist whose compositions, most of them for solo piano,
were so innovative for musicians of that time, his works like
nocturnes, waltzes, etudes, ballades and mazurkas are
among the most popular solo piano works.

 Franz Liszt: one the most virtuosistic musicians of his time,


he develops an entire method for piano to form virtuosistic

 Claude Debussy - A composer who developed a new style


of musical impressionism based in many ocations in
paintings and poems that was very colorful and captured
subjective emotional moods. He used non-conventional
scales like gregorian modes, harmonies and forms.

 Arnold Schoenberg – he was a pioneer in the atonal field


and 12-tone composition. He left back the traditional
harmonies and scales totally innovating 20th century music
and influenced many later composers.

 Igor Stravinsky - developed a new kind of rhythmic,


melodic and harmonic style characterized by dramatic
innovations in musical form, transformed the conventions
of orchestration, instrumentation and motivic development
