Week 2– The Tunnel

summarise.
 Write a new chapter – making a change to the plot.
Week 3– The Tunnel
 Make two new character profiles, using the information of the differing characteristics
that we have explored in previous lessons.
 Change setting – learners to draw and label a new setting for their story.
 Draft their own story in the style of The Tunnel – using the change of plot, characters and
setting that they have completed this week and last.
 Self assessment and edit—final independent write.

Resources
You will need:

A piece of paper, (Preferably A3 size)


A pencil, a ruler and a small stick (the length of a pencil or slightly longer)

Procedure: At home, take you white sheet of paper

Bore a hole in the middle of the paper

Put the small stick through the small hole and fix it on the ground
so the stick can be upright.

Use a ruler to measure the length of the shadow after every hour. (You can start at 9
am till when the sun starts setting)

Record this on a sheet of paper. You can also make a video and upload on seesaw.
