Example 4

The masonry units are made of clay dimensions 25x25x30 [cm]. The total volume of the holes (voids)
in masonry unit is 7200 cm3. The combined thickness (the total thickness of all webs in the horizontal
section) is 15 cm and the width is 25 cm. To which group of masonry units does this masonry unit
belong?

Vvoids = 7200 cm3

Vgross masonry unit = 25 · 25 · 30 = 18750 cm3
