Corporate social responsibility functions held by DSI

Education

The DSI Super Sport "Danumai Wasanaawai" is a well-known quiz contest for schoolchildren. Almost all schools
in the country participate in this program, which runs throughout the year. The Ministry of Education in Sri Lanka is
closely monitoring the standards of this quiz contest.

"Mathematical Olympiad" is the latest quiz program sponsored by DSI Group with the assistance of the
Department of Mathematics, University of Colombo, which held once a year.

DSI Tyres Savibala Sathkaraya – “A Library for School” is a project, which look for the school in need of
support and build a library to empower the knowledge of the children.
In 1992, DSI Group launched an impressive program named "Sithuvili" Sri Lanka ("thoughts"), an all island art
competition now rated as the most prestigious art competition in Sri Lanka and the schools of the winners rewarded
with a cash prize to utilize for school development projects.

Sports

The DSI Super sport Volleyball Tournament is the only volleyball tournament in Sri Lanka for
schoolchildren to participate at national level. This prestigious tournament sees more than 100 schools battle
it out in the different age categories.

DSI Group is the proud sponsor of the Sri Lankan National Women’s Volleyball Team and co-sponsor of
the Asian Women’s Volleyball Championships. In addition to volleyball, the subsidiary companies have
sponsored individuals and teams in Athletics, Badminton and Basketball.

Disaster Aid

During the rainy season when floods are quite common and when droughts hit the dry zones in some
parts of the country, the Company and the welfare societies of individual subsidiaries come forward to assist
the families that affected.

Community

 Projects to protect the planet-Tree plantation programs

 DSI Group also jointly sponsors the annual Vesak competition held in the Colombo Town Hall area.
 DSI Samson Group had sponsored is an exhibition that highlights the ancient temples of Sri Lanka
called "Raja Maha Weheraka Asiriya"

 New Year celebration (Sooriya Mangallaya) along with the Independent Television Network is another
community project that held annually.
