The 2022 NLA, spearheaded by the Department of Education (Deped), through the Literacy Coordinating Council (LCC), recognizes the best literacy practices carried out by local government units (LGU) and non-government organizations (NGO), which help alleviate poverty, provide livelihood opportunities, address welfare needs, promote freedom, and make education facilities accessible, among others. 2.
