Findings
There is a visible damage caused by water leakage and water infiltration on the office building
complex. Upon request by your good office, we have done preliminary investigation to find the
root cause(s) of the problem. Following are our findings:
G+6 Building
o 3rd floor – 6th floor there is visible leakage along a number of columns and on ceiling
slabs.
o 6th floor minister’s office gypsum wall has no cover on the back and thus is susceptible to
water infiltration.
o 3rd – 6th floor adjacent to the minister’s office, there is damage caused on the stair walls.
o Ceramic tiled rooftop does not have gentle slope and has no waterproofing.
G+3 Buildings
o 3rd floor has extensive damage to the ceiling/floor slabs and columns.
General
o All downpipes are not properly fixed and non-functional.
o All bathrooms and toilets (sanitary fixtures) are fixed without gate valve.
o Rainwater and sewerage are entering into and collecting in the building basement.
o Sewerage system and runaway water system are not separated.
o Sewerage pipe from the building fixed below septic tank elevation.
The building roof top ceramic tiling requires extensive waterproofing works to seal water
intrusion down to lower slabs. This requires casting light weight concrete, waterproofing
and closing of old downpipes.
All roof top areas where there is water tanker need waterproofing work.
All downpipes should be fixed properly.
Each and every bathroom should be fixed with gate valve and repair unused HW or WC.
Fix perforated pipe all around the building to collect and dispense runaway water.
