Statement of Purpose

Honorable Sir/Ma’am,

The following statement of purpose is written for Uppsala University’s Master program in
English linguistics. Higher scholastic information and experiential information are fundamental.
I'm resolved to get the most ideal degree as it will assist me with standing apart from the group.
I intend to apply for a Master’s Program in English linguistics at Uppsala University starting in
autumn 2021.

I have completed my Master’s degree in applied linguistics and teaching from University of
liberal Arts of Bangladesh and I have done my Bachelor’s degree in English and Modern
Languages from Central Women’s University. I have been nurturing a dream to become a
scholar and teacher of English language. Since this Master’s program in English linguistics is
related to my previous background education I believed that this program suits my profile and
career prospects also.Linguistics is the scientific study of language such as how it works, how it
is gained, and how individuals use it to impart. And English linguistics refers to the systematic
study of English language. So, I have decided to study this program so that I can utilize the
knowledge to develop my teaching skills. I think the knowledge which I will get from this
program would help greatly to reach that level of progress. My previous university’s teacher
inspired me in ways they motivated me to learn the structure of the English language and its
history. I decided then that I wanted to inspire other students just as they did for methat’s whyI
believe that this program will give me solid foundations to improve my teaching skills and also
this program will give me opportunity to do research related to linguistics subjects. So, I am of
the opinion that this program is very suitable for me.

Finally, I can say without little hesitation that I am very confident and I have sufficient ability to
do Master’s in English linguistics and also my previous educations are related to this program.
