Vector in Rn :
The set at all n-tuples of real numbers denoted by Rn , is called
n-spa.
A particular n-tuple in Rn, Say u=(a1,a2,……….an) is called a point
or vector.
The numbers a.i are called the coordination components
entries or elements of u.
Column Vector : A vector inn-sp Rn.
Example :
a=(a,b,c) u= a x

b y
c z
if u=(1,4,-7) and v=(3,4,5)
then find u+v
= (1,4,-7)+(3,4,5)
=(1+3, 4+4, -7+5)
=(4,4,-2)
U € R 3.
2u= 2(1,4,-7) = (2,8,-14) ans
Vector in Cn :
a+ib is complex number , where a,b € R and i=√−1 is imagining
vector,it is denoted by Cn .
z=x+iy. z=(x,y) z=(2,3), z=2+3i.
example :
z1=4-5i, z2= 3+4i.
z1+z2= (4+3-5i+4i)
=7-I = z3 .
Z=x+iy,€ value,
|z| = √ x 2+ y 2…
e.g… z=2-3i
z= √ 2 +(−3) 2
2

= √ 13. ans
