Project Summary

Our societies are currently facing major changes and challenges, being climatic, environmental, technological
(digital and gene), demographic (including migration), economic (poverty) and, ultimately, ethical (values). In
order to face these challenging issues, our world needs to be reinvented. It needs innovations that matters! In
particular, our societies require more entrepreneurs with mindsets, skills, and sense of purpose needed to thrive
in a rapidly changing world. Impact Entrepreneurship refers to the process favouring the creation and growth of
enterprises that are ethical, transparent and has meaningful impact on our lives and society. Unlike non-profit,
they focus on creating social impact through market strategies. Impact entrepreneurs focus on the triple
bottom-line: Profits-People-Planet, to achieve the appropriate balance between each dimension. The mission of
this master is to contribute to the education of a new generation of impact entrepreneurs. Its ultimate vision is to
contribute the creation of an inclusive economy driven by equity values that give meaning to living together by
creating human, ecological and economic value through an entrepreneurial approach. Erasmus Mundus Master
in Impact Entrepreneurship (EMMIE) is an innovative 90 ECTS Master based on full mobility. EMMIE is supported
by a consortium composed of three upscale European Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in management,
innovation and entrepreneurship whose excellence has been recognized by European and international
accreditations from independent organizations. The ambition is to position that Master as a key international
reference on the European Landscape in order to recruit the best international students willing to develop their
skills and competences to build entrepreneurial projects having a positive impact over one of the 17 Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs) of United Nations (UN) with a special focus on the climate and social inclusion
challenges.
