Introduction
The 10-year study, the CEO Genome Project. Its goal is to identify the specific attributes that
differentiate high-performing CEOs (whom we define as executives meeting or exceed- ing expectations
in the role, according to interviews with board members and the majority of investors deeply familiar
with the CEOs’ performance) (Botelho, 2017).

Four Crucial Leadership Qualities The CEO Genome Project claims that The CEO Genome Project, a
project to determine the traits that characterise high-performing chief executives, took ten years of
research.

Global leaders introduction

Global leaders work across boundaries in a variety of locations with diverse cultural and governmental
systems to accomplish a single goal. It is crucial for leaders to continuously develop and master skills to
adapt to these complexities and challenges as businesses integrate into global operations.

Skills of a global leader

Skill Leadership on a global scale differs from leadership at home. Global leaders must possess the
leadership qualities necessary to succeed in the globalised world. The experience was the skill with the
highest ranking, followed by linkage and networking. A worldwide leadership assignment "can demand a
transformation in how individuals view themselves," according to Conger (2014:198). The power of
experience is frequently described using the term "culture shock." Long life experiences are equally
important to the development of world leaders as are professional experiences. The knowledge of
cultural distinctions among world leaders will be improved by international research. On the other hand,

taking on international assignments, travelling, and participating in events will all help leaders around
the world develop the necessary global abilities.

Style of a different global leader

Transactional leadership

If you believe your teacher to be challenging, wait till you have a boss. He is without tenure. The
American business tycoon Bill Gates.

Bill Gates, a Microsoft co-founder and former world’s richest man, set stringent controls over the
production process at his company. Gates used to visit teams and question them until he was satisfied
they were carrying out the objectives he set since he was target-focused and a supporter of the chain of
command.

Transactional CEOs like Gates can encourage dynamic workplaces where employees are motivated by
incentives or sales goals. Organisations can obtain quick outcomes because roles and duties for workers
are clearly defined and training is provided for these (Ross, 2022).

The desire to support the growth and development of others drives transformational leaders. They are
charismatic and inspiring. They cultivate trust with their followers through their acts by motivating them
to succeed and achieve more than they ever imagined.

It is well known that Jeff Bezos is a transformational leader—someone who inspires and directs his
employees to accomplish more than they initially believed feasible. He supported his company's growth
and expansion over time because of his capacity to innovate and foresee. He is a well-known example of
a transformational leader who uses innovation and transition to plan and achieve outcomes (Arora,
2022).

Charming leadership
Leadership that is charismatic hinges on inspiring followers with little more than charm and personality.
These leaders rely on character, persuasiveness, charm, and the strength of conviction.

For instance, the well-known international personality Richard Branson is renowned for the
management approach that led to the creation of the Virgin Group Umbrella. An entire generation of
young entrepreneurs was motivated to take the required risks to realise their ideas by Branson's
charisma and entrepreneurial spirit (solanki, 2022).

Good Participatory Leadership

In this situation, the leader promotes involvement in the decision-making process. Employees are given
the chance to voice their opinions and participate in resolving issues inside the business. Participative
leadership only works when the person in control is powerful enough to make the final decision.

Walt Disney was a superb example of democratic leadership. He is most known for developing "the most
magical place on Earth" and at least 160 other of our favourite childhood films. A full-length animated
feature required thousands of hours and hundreds of artists. Every worker participating in this
endeavour had to be able to work with extraordinary attention to detail. The group created some of the
most exquisite and classic animated films of our time by clearly explaining the overall idea and enabling
inputs. Disney was effective with this leadership approach because, despite the multiple layers of
creative input from numerous artists, the final decision was always his (Narain, 2020).

Five Practices of exemplary leadership

Although each great leader will exactly fit into one leadership style, they all have certain characteristics.
Here are a few instances:

Integrity was important, as seen by Obama's revolutionary leadership. With it came trust—not just from
his co-workers but also from the entire nation and even the entire world.

Vision: Having a clear vision that all employees completely comprehend makes it easier to make sure
that everyone is headed in the right direction and pursuing the same objective. Success should be
celebrated. Doing so motivates employees to perform to the best of their abilities.

Ability to inspire: A sense of accomplishment gives one more confidence. Include incentives and make
an effort to always make workers feel appreciated (Terrell, 2020).

Conclusion
The demand for global leaders is rising in the increasingly complicated and interconnected business
world of today. They frequently take on management and leadership roles that span several nations,
time zones, languages, national cultures, and organisational cultures. Global leaders face huge obstacles
as well as equally important developmental opportunities as a result of the complexity they experience.
The global leaders in this study intuitively applied ad hoc learning techniques throughout their
experiences to develop the global leadership capabilities necessary to successfully carry out their
position as global leaders. They went into their encounters ready and eager to learn, with an attitude of
openness to experience and learning, and they saw learning from experience as a crucial component of
playing out their position as global leaders. These global leaders embraced cross-cultural and global
experiences with an attitude of exploration and discovery. They were curious about working and living in
various countries. Intellectual curiosity is a different thing, according to one global authority in the
study.
