Site qualifications
Gas explosion
The lighting system is not suitable for operation in
potentially explosive atmospheres.
The equipment must not be operated in rooms in
which combustible mixtures of anesthetics and air,
oxygen or N20 (laughing gas) are used.
Falling parts
1 DANGER
Falling parts
During installation, persons must not stand under
the components of the lighting system.
• Protect the installation site against unauthorized
access.
1WARNING
Switching off the power supply
Touching live equipment can lead to a life-
threatening electric shock:
• Before carrying out any installation work,
disconnect all poles of the wall power supply
and take precautions to prevent it from being
switched on again.
• Withdraw the power plug of the mobile pedestal
version and secure it against reconnection.
Qualified personnel
Electrical connection of the lighting system requires
specialist electrotechnical knowledge:
• Electrical connections may only be carried out
by qualified electricians or staff with
comparable qualification.
1WARNING
Risk of lighting system falling
The torques specified for the fastening screws in
these Installation Instructions must be complied
with.
• Observe the specified torques.
• Do not place any additional loads on the
lighting system.
1WARNING
Sudden release of spring arm
If the light head/flat-screen monitor is dismantled
without having first moved the spring arm to its
upper limit position, the spring arm is suddenly
released upwards and can cause serious injuries:
• Dismantle the light head/flat-screen monitor at
the upper limit position only.
1CAUTION
Risk of trapping fingers
Adjusting the luminous field reduces the distance
between the outer modules of the
iLED 5 light head.
• When adjusting the luminous field, keep the fin-
gers out of the gaps between the lighting mod-
ules.
• Only position the iLED 5 light head using the
sterile hand grip or the non-sterile outer hand
grip.
Installation
• Install the ceiling version as described in Sections
5 to 11.
Installation
• Install the mobile pedestal version as described in
Sections 12 and 13.
