    At the end of the lesson, the student will be able to

    Topic: Argumentative Texts
    Reference: A journey through Anglo-American Literature – Grade 9
    Materials: Visual aids
    Core value: Argue with evidence and facts.

    A. Preliminary Activity

    B. Lesson proper
    The teacher will ask a various question about argumentative text that will serve as their
    reviewer.
    1. What is an Argumentative text?
    2. What are the two sides of argumentative text?
    3. What is the purpose of the argumentative text?
    C. Group Activity
    Strategy: Face to Face
    The teacher will give a social issue, and after that, the class will be divided into two
    groups and choose which side they are going to stand on in the issue that the teacher
    will give.
    Topic: Integrating different electronics or gadgets in learning rather than books.
    Question: What is the most reliable source of information book or internet?

    Criteria
    Good point of view- 5 pts
    Proper usage of evidences- 5 pts
    Persuasive- 5pts
    Unity- 5 pts
    Total- 20 pts

    True or false
    Write T if the statement is true and F if it is false.
    1. Argumentative text is used to argue in a mannered way.
    2. Argumentative text talks about opinions only.
    3. You can write an argument without any evidence.
    4. Facts are the foundation of any argument.
    5. The purpose of the statement of position is to know your stand on a
    certain issue.
    6. You should justify your point of view in an argumentative text
    7. You can find the evidence and details in the restatement of position.
    8. Linking/connecting words are not needed in an argumentative text.
    9. You should use evidence to support your claim.
    10. In order to write an argumentative text, you must take a side on
    an issue.

    Make an argument about an issue that is given. You can do anything like poems,
    graphic organizers, songs, etc.
