4. Rationale for the inclusion of the course in the programme:

This course introduce student to the basic concepts of digital systems, including analysis and design. Both combinational and sequential logic will be covered.
Student will gain experience with several levels of digital systems, from simple logic circuit to programmable logic devices and hardware description language.

This course will provide the fundamental background needed to understand how digital system work and how to design digital circuit. Topic will be cover
system number, basic digital circuit with I/O devices and discuss type of basic flip-flop for counter and shift register.
