CONCLUSION
The survey results suggest that the social problem of single-use plastics is relevant and
that the public's awareness of environmental harm caused by plastics does not necessarily
translate into a complete shift away from their use. Convenience, habits, and the lack of suitable
alternatives are key factors influencing consumer behavior. However, the results also indicate
that there is potential for a shift towards more biodegradable plastics, provided that affordable
and high-quality alternatives are available. Educational campaigns, policy changes, and
innovative product development may contribute to reducing reliance on single-use plastics and
promoting more sustainable choices.
