I am applying for the above position with your organization posted via Ethio jobs. I am Abdela
Usmael and my academic background is in Agriculture. I have a Bsc degree from Haramaya
University in the Department of Crop Production and Protection in 2010/11 and Masters of
Science degree in Plant Pathology from Haramaya University in 2017. I am a strong
communicator and team worker. I have a lot of experience in working with different groups and
am the kind of person who understands, and believes in teamwork. Moreover, my previous
experience in NGO (BENEFIT-REALISE project) as an Seed expert and Agronomist; Research
Institute as Researcher; and in a higher academic institution as a researcher and Instructor, pave
my way toward success. As a researcher, for BENEFIR-REALISE and Research Institute; I have
been conducting different research on different thematic areas, and different PSNP livelihood
change activities and participated in several community service activities. My experience in
different collaborative project activities such as, Integrated Seed Sector Development (ISSD),
FOA and OFDA projects as a focal person, and Lowland Resilient Project (LLRP) projects are
my potential assets during which I was able to earn experience of working with different groups.
In addition, I have also got an opportunity to work and participate in the Oromia regional state
Bureau of Irrigation Pastoral development on the thematic area of Holistic pastoral
transformation which works in collaboration with Oda Bultum University in lowland areas of
West Hararghe zone such as Miesso, Gumbi Bordode, Hawi Gudina, and Burka dimitu districts.
