Women Activities & Social Service Association (WASSA) established in 2002 in Afghanistan, as
non-governmental organization, committed to seeking ways for women empowerment in
Afghanistan. WASSA aims to promote women equal participation in socio-economic sectors of
the country. WASSA works directly with communities in order to bring change in social attitude
of the community regarding women.

Job Description:
I-GENERAL Responsibilities:

He is ultimately responsible for the below outlined activities and responsible to ensure the
regional project manager on the progress of the work.

II-Specific Job Responsibilities: 

 Ensuring strategic alignment of the training plan with project goal and objective.
 Provide strategic plans for agricultural activities of the project.
 Coordination with all project stakeholders, community’ elders and beneficiaries.
 Cooperate with procurement department to procure the needed equipment and raw
materials for the planned trainings.
 Conduct training on business plan development for the beneficiaries of the project.
 Creating & leading the selection committee for selection of the project beneficiaries.
 Hiring agriculture trainers for all six agriculture components (beekeeping, food
processing, kitchen gardening, saffron, poultry and goat farming).
 Delivering orientation training for trainers and apply new requires skills to reinforce the
capacities of the trainers.
  Developing the training materials such as (training manuals, handout and other needed
materials).
 Evaluating the trainings to ensure training is meeting organization needs and improving
performance.
 Identifying training needs by consulting with stakeholders and using needs assessments. 
 facilitate learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction,
virtual training, on-the-job coaching
 Technically support the beneficiaries to apply the learned skills and knowledge during
agricultural activities.
 Keep continual coordination with Department of Agriculture, irrigation and livestock to
ensure the trainings and activities are in line with the DAIL standards.
 Provide marketing plan and use different resources to link the beneficiaries’ products in
the market.
 Facilitate exposure visits for different beneficiaries from the different areas of operation.

 III. Communication

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure proper communication with local officials and Shuras.


2. Ensure proper communication with the relevant governmental departments

 IV. Project Orders

1. Ensure Project manager about the progress of the agricultural and livestock activities.
2. Reporting the progress of the activities to Regional Project Manager

 V. Additional Tasks

1. To carry out any additional tasks as requested.


 VI. Meetings

1. Attending the monthly general staff meeting of the organization.


2. Attending to any meeting requested by supervisor.

Job Requirements:
Language Skills:          Fluent in Dari and Pashtu and Excellent in English skill

Computer Skills:           having knowledge of Windows XP, package of office, e-mail


communication.

Technical Skills:            technical skills of the job are a must but technical skills to strengthen the
agriculture department is ultimately required.

Team work:                    Ability to work in a team, often under stressful conditions, with both
International and national staff.

Communication:            Excellent communication skills in English and Dari, Having excellent


verbal translation skills, Strong negotiation skills.

Cultural Skills:              Ability to work with people with different cultural backgrounds.

Personal Attributes:     Politeness, Pleasant and Friendly disposition, Attention to detail,


Initiative, Punctuality, Honesty, Diligence.

Additional Attributes: Keep professional working attitude under all circumstances and


implement the principles of WASSA

Experience  Having experience about 3 to 5 years with national and or

International NGOs with the same field of expertise.
