About Afghanaid:
Afghanaid is a British international NGO (www.afghanaid.org.uk) that has been working
in Afghanistan since 1983. Headquartered in Kabul, Afghanaid implements projects
directly in 8 provinces and through partners in a further number of provinces and
maintains a marketing and fundraising office in London. Afghanaid works in some of the
most remote areas of the country and through a range of programme interventions
supports development of basic services, such as water and sanitation, access roads,
education facilities and other community infrastructure; strengthens livelihoods through
improved natural resource management, agricultural and small enterprise development,
and improved access to markets; and provides humanitarian assistance in times of
emergencies. Gender mainstreaming, local governance and community development
are integrated into all of Afghanaid’s work. The results achieved have earned Afghanaid

Job Description:
Programme Management:
Ensure regular information collection on each agreed indicators and reported through
reports as per organizational and donor needs.
Work with the monitoring and evaluation manager and develop impact monitoring
indicators and system to understand, document and disseminate the impact of the project
and learning.
Organize internal monitoring and impact assessment visits
Develop and submit accurate monthly work plans and reports to the Sr.PM/ provincial
Coordinator. These reports should include technical social and impact information.
Liaise with Provincial PC regarding technical aspect of FLR implementing activities.
Develop high quality donor reports about the FLR related activities, that is contributing to
the project donor reports as required.
Ensure government participation in key social events such as trainings, exposure visits,
workshops etc. as appropriate
Liaise with relevant government departments and keep updated them on the project
progress and achievements on regular basis.
Capacity Building:
Develop training modules in aspects of FLR / Agriculture and other relevant topics and
deliver training to NRMCs (Natural Resources Management Committees) & FMAs(Forest
Management Associations) and government relevant departments employees.
Organize exchange / exposure visits for NRMCs, FMAs, Government stakeholders and
project team members.
Awareness rising of NRMCs/FMA/CDC and other stockholders on development of
bylaws/statutes and implementation of that among community.
Staff Management:
Net Working:
Liaise with relevant government departments, NGO networks as advised by the Program
Coordinator.
Participate in relevant national, provincial and district level meetings and represent on
behalf of organization and project in Badakhshan province.
Participate in all relevant meetings as appropriate.
Job Requirements:
Education degree
Experience
At least five years’ experience (if post graduate degree three years’ experience) of Forest
Landscape Restoration/ NRM / Agriculture / Forestry etc.
Experience of staff management
Experience in CBO trainings and experience of developing training modules and extension
materials such as leaflets and posters.
Experience in the establishment and support of community led projects particularly FLR
activities.
Writing skills in English /Dari

coordinator / Senior Program Manager. These reports should include technical and
impact information.
Liaise with Irrigation/Catchment Construction Engineer, Forest Landscape Restoration
Officer,
Liaise with relevant government departments and keep updated them on the project
progress and achievements on regular basis.
Excellent reporting and communication skills
