About Dutch Committee for Afghanistan (DCA):
About DCA

DCA has been present in Afghanistan since 1988, focusing its interventions to herders
and pastoralists communities’ resilience and enabling them to achieve long-term,
inclusive and equitable development. DCA is currently implementing several livestock
development and humanitarian program in 15 Provinces of Afghanistan. In 2021, we
were able to benefit more than 586,000 vulnerable Afghans in building their resilience.

DCA’s mission is to reduce poverty and increase food security for the people of
Afghanistan by protecting the livelihoods assets and building resilience. Our
livelihoods approach sits at the nexus of humanitarian, development, and peacebuilding,
and focuses on building resilience in a conflict-setting.   DCA’s community driven
approach is built upon four major pillars: food security and livelihoods improvement,
extension, value chain development, and institutional capacities. Together, these four
fields of activity constitute a powerful mix to drive our mission. Gender equality and one
health (the interface between human, animal and environmental health stressing
on new pandemics and epidemics such as COV-19) will continue to be our fundamental
guiding principles.

 
Job Description:
General Position Summary

The Field Facilitator will be responsible for direct management and implementation of
the project activities including stop-shops/sales points and wool/cashmere value chain
in the targeted provinces/districts/villages. S/He will be responsible for the coordination
of the project activities with all stakeholders at the provincial/district level and village
levels.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Manage fieldwork in the provincial, district and village levels based on given work plan
and activities
 Introduction of the project to the relevant stakeholders (Public Sector, VFU Staff, Stop-
shopkeepers,  Farmers, traders)
 Doing assessment and finding suitable people (VFU staff or others) for stop shops
 Identifying beneficiaries (male and female)
 Establishing and equipping stop shops (next to VFU or another suitable place)
 Training of farmers in sorting and other cashmere and wool related subjects
 Reporting to the regional field facilitators and finally to project manager
 Preparing all paper work, listing, vouchers distribution to beneficiaries
 Doing all paper work with stop shops and listing of beneficiaries,
 Payment for vouchers to the stop shop and collecting vouchers and sending to PM
 Accompanying marketing advisors while visiting the field
 Accompanying and giving information needed by MEAL advisors.
 And other project related task given by PM.

 
Job Requirements:
 Bachelor of Veterinary, Agriculture, Animal Science, Agriculture Economy, and extension
 At least four years of experience in a similar field.
 Good Communication & public Relation Skills
 Excellent writing skills in Dari, Pashto, and English languages
 Good report writing skills
 Good community mobilizing skill
 Having good time management and planning skills
 Willing to visit frequently the field
