BASED – for Yabello on ethiojobs. I am motivated to apply as I have experience with about 28
in rural development and Disaster Risk Management. I specialize in the areas of Disaster Risk
Management, Food Security and Natural Resource Management both in the public and NGOs
sectors. I have experience to work from community level to national level coordination system
working with implementing and financing organizations. Hence, I equipped working with
diverse working environments, different social groups, partners, stakeholders, and donors at large
and work from development to emergency settings. I have a long-time experience on Ethiopia
Rural Productive Safety Net Program from planning, program clients targeting for core and
transitory assistance, Early Warning data collection and analysis and working in partnership with
different organizations. Up to very recently I have been working for International NGO Oxford
Policy Management on Building Resilience in Ethiopia project as Regional Technical Assistance
in Early Warning and Disaster Risk Management.

Concerning education, I earned master’s degree in Disaster Risk Management and Sustainable
Development from Institute of DRM and Food Security Studies, Bahir Dar University. I have
trained in Disaster Risk Informed Planning organized by Oxford Policy Management/OPM-
BRE, project planning and management, business development, leadership, productive safety net
and training facilitation skill. I am applying for the position of PROJECT OFFICER - MARKET
AND CASH BASED – for Yabello.
