REF: FOOD SECURITY AND LIVEIHOOD PROGRAM OFFICER.

I am writing to apply for the FSL Program Officer position at the MERCY CORPS. I am a graduate
of the University of SIMAD, where I majored in public Administration. I am interested in working
at MERCY CORPS because of my interest in humanitarian and my desire to help and improve the
Projects status of All Somalia’s.

I am currently working as a FSL Project Officer at AVORD and also worked other organizations
such as YELLO, SAVE THE CHILDREN and DEVELOPMENT ACTION NETWORK for the
past five years. In that time, I have been responsible for managing and administering grant
programs in support of the foundations mission to improve community status and education. I have
also served on various committees and task forces within those different organization, providing
input on strategic planning and policy decision.

I am a program officer with extensive experience in the field. I have worked on numerous programs
and projects, and have gained a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the process. I am highly
organized and efficient, and posses’ excellent communication skills. I am able to work
independently as well as part of a team and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously. I am
proactive resourceful and always willing to go the extra mile to get the job done right
