Cairo, Egypt

Dear Mr. /Ms.

I’m writing this cover letter to express my interest in working for CRS. I’m a double Bachelor
degree holder both in political science (2019) and economics (2021) from the faculty of
Economics and Political Science, Cairo University. I’ve always been passionate about human
rights field and when I learned about CRS from a friend and I came to realized that my passion
align with your goals.

I worked as a volunteer with AISEC in their education program in Turkey (2018) and Indonesia
(2019). My role was to teach children from different age groups basic English. Those two
experiences have enriched my knowledge and understanding of different cultures and societies
and developed teamwork skills. Having to communicate with children who natively speak
different language, connect and teach them shaped my personality and taught me patience and
creativity.

For a year I worked as a writer for a political encyclopedia website. Our goal was to provide
Arabic speakers with a reference to political science concepts and theories in their mother
tongue through translating famous and important articles and definitions to Arabic. This
experience was really important and meaningful to me as I got to use my educational
background and language knowledge for the general good.

Currently I work as an MIS officer, credit information and analytics and an in Societe Arabe
Internationale De Banque (SAIB). My role is mainly providing regular Branches’ informative &
analytical reports and supporting the Branch and Regional Managers in using the in-house MIS
systems and reports to facilitate the decision making process. However due to my ability to
learn rapidly I was able to learn basic SQL and participate in building a tool that prepare and
extract central bank reports automatically then develop other two tools to facilitate the
workflow in the bank on my own in the course of few months which eventually helped in
minimizing the operational risk in different sectors. This opportunity is teaching me a lot until
this moment as I’ve learnt how to manage, analyze, interpret, and present data related to the
bank and follow patterns to come up with conclusions. I was also able to test my ability to
acquire knowledge of a field that was totally vague to me and not related to my educational
background to fulfill work needs. Adding to that my computer skills have improved dramatically
since I started this Job. Now I’m able to use Microsoft Access and Excel to improve the accuracy
of the results. This job has provided me with a great experience and knowledge. However, I‘d
love to dedicate my life to pursue my passion and contribute with my experience and
knowledge to the benefit of organization and people in need through CRS.

I’m aware this Job requires project planning, coordination, following up and implementation
skills, communication skills to facilitate the flow of information among different teams,
Achieving highest level of accuracy, analytical skills to provide insights and observations as well
as discussions, awareness of the political and security situation in Egypt for refugees, and how
vulnerable and delicate they are to any change in such environment and I believe that my
previous experiences qualify me for this role whether through my academic background,
volunteering experiences or working in SAIB I was able to acquire the needed skills for this
opportunity. In SAIB I’ve proven myself to be reliable, dedicated, fast-learner, flexible, and hard-
worker.

I believe there is no better place to gain more experience related to Human rights and help
reshape people’s lives than CRS. Especially that we share the idea of the Importance of
education in people’s lives. I believe that with my skills and experiences, dedication and hard
work along with my energy and motivation would be beneficial for CRS. I hope to be given this
chance as I’m confident that I’m capable of meeting and exceeding your expectations.

Thank you for your consideration.

Best Regards,
