NOTE: This sheet will handle 50 worlds. To add more worlds simply cut and paste the appropriate lines
ROUNDING: Pocket Empires rounds all figures throughout its examples, this spreadsheet only rounds at the end. This
will result in final figures which differ from those in the book.

Dierolls Sheet
R Demand: Roll two dice for the worlds resource demand and enter the value
R Trade: Roll two dice for the worlds resource trade and enter the value
Actual Pop: Mutliply the population code from the UWP by the Pop Modifier in the Extended UWP and enter that value
PCR: Roll one die for the population change factor
Pop C: Multiply the existing population by this figure to get the new population
R Roll: If trade code is As, Ba or Po roll 1 die and enter the value, otherwie roll 2 dice and enter the value
I Roll: If trade code is Ba roll 1 die and enter the value, otherwie roll 2 dice and enter the value
C Roll: If trade code is Ba roll 1 die and enter the value, otherwie roll 2 dice and enter the value
TP: If the world matches the Viable trade partner house rule (see below), Y will appear here
PCF: Population Change Factor
New Pop: Population as modified by the changed figure
GDP Sheet
Port: Enter a numerical value for the starport according to the table below:
Starport A = 1, B = 2, C = 3, D = 4, E = 5, X = 6
Size: World size from UWP
Atmo: World atmoshere from UWP
Hydro: World hydrosphere from UWP
Pop: World population from UWP (automatically calculated)
Govt: World government from UWP
Law: World law level from UWP
PM: World population modifier from extended UWP (automatically calculated)
Belts: Number of belts from extended UWP
Giants: Number of gas giants from extended UWP
Res: Resources available on the mainworld (excluding planetoids and gas giants)
Infra: Infrastructure
Cult: Culture
T Par: Number of trading partners the world has (including the world itself)
Mod: Any non-standard modifiers for the world (such as an adverse control roll)
Budget Sheet
Govt: World Government Type from UWP (automatically calculated)
G Tax: Enter the variable Base tax rate for Type 6 or 7 Governments
V Exp: Enter the variable Government expense factor for Type 6 or 7 Governments
D Tax: Discretionary tax rate in Tax equation (enter as a fraction not a percentage)
Adm: Administration factor in Expenses equation
Act: Number of active military factors
Res: Number of reserve military factors
Off W: Off World military maintaince. Multiply each factor by the number of parsecs distant and enter the total.
NOTE: These units must still be counted for normal maintaince
Surplus: Any surplus or deficit in RU carried over from previous years. (NOTE: any surplus may not exceed GDP)
World Sheet
Govt: World Government Type from UWP (automatically calculated)
Self D: Self Determination of World
Plur: Pluralism of World (automatically calculated)
V Plur: Enter the variable Pluralism for Type 6 or 7 Governments
Pop M: Any action (or other) modifiers to Popularity
Lead: Leadership modifier (if any) to Popularity
Pop: Popularity
Pres M: Enter any action modifiers to Prestige if a single world empire
Pres: Prestige if a single world empire (Automatically calculated)
Pop Cd: Size code if a single world empire (Automatically calculated)
Mil Cd: Military power code if a single world empire (Automatically calculated)
Eco Cd: Economic power code if a single world empire (Automatically calculated)
Empire Sheet
This sheet will allow players to calculate a multiworld Empire's prestige, edit the formula to include the appropriate worlds
and manually enter the population figure and number of worlds in the Empire
Constants Sheet
This contains the various constants and tables. Input the global value for Interstellar trade here
Tradecodes Sheet
This sheet calculates the trade codes, resource, infrastructure and culture scores for each world.
NOTE: If you wish to have these values continually updated by world changes during a game, alter the cells relating
to resource, infrastructure and culture in the GDP sheet to report these values

Viable Trade Partner House Rule (NOTE: This is NOT an official rule)
Only worlds who's GWP before the effects of culture and interstellar trade is 0.01 RU or greater may be considered as
viable trade partners for the purposes of the Interstellar Finished Goods Trade.
