1.1 Scope
These specifications describe the endocavitary transducer model PVT-781VTE for use in combination
with Toshiba diagnostic ultrasound systems.

1.2 Purpose and Application

This transducer is designed for transvaginal and transrectal examinations.

Intended use : Imaging of organs and localization of lesions, flow

velocity measurement and mapping
Indications for use : Transvaginal examination
Transrectal examination
Target organs : Uterus, ovaries, fetus, and pelvic region
Prostate gland, seminal vesicles, bladder
Method of application : Insertion into the vagina
Insertion into the rectum

Exercise extreme care when performing Doppler or color Doppler

obstetrical and gynecological examinations so as to avoid any exposure to
the fetus.

In vitro fertilization is considered to be an investigational application.
