OVER ALL EXPERIENCE IN AKHUWAT

TRAINING
MY DAYS AT TRAINING DEPARTMENT: -

Our first interaction in AKHUWAT was with the training department, we were
interviewed by Sir Shahid Safdar. In the start we got orientations and got to know
about AKHUWATs history. Later, we worked on telemedicines project plus on
success stories, in which we called RMs and RCs.

I found no loop hole here in this department, I learnt a lot here, I improved my
excel expertise as well. This was so far the best department till now.

BRANCH VISIT
MY DAYS AT BRANCH: -

I went to green town branch, it was a great experience there, we got to know about
the application process. In which I got to know that how people come, apply for
loan, what are the Credit , how many people should be there in a group to get loan.
We got to know about what is takaful, how does it work.

Furthermore, we got to know about the recovery process. I was stunned knowing
AKHUWATS recovery rate. There was no gap that I feel that branch had to fill up,
borrowers there were happy enough plus satisfied with the services provided there.

COMPLIANCE
MY UNDERSTANDING: -

Compliance is the department which controls all the legal and corporate affairs of
the company. They refine laws and regulations of the company and play their part
in the implementation of them too. They also handle the MOUs, notifications by
the government etc.

SUGGESTION: -

This department is overall very cooperative but according to their work nature they
all are very busy and are able to give less time to the people who are there to learn.
A little more interaction will be much appreciated. Furthermore, it was overall a
great learning experience there.

FUND RAISING
MY EXPEREINCE AT FUND RAISING: -
Overall, it was a good experience, the people there were co-operative and helpful.
It was a good learning experience.
RECOMMENDATIONS: -
Akhuwat is indeed doing a great work, its work is commendable. This is the only
NGO which is satisfying the needs of poor and needy. My suggestion to this
specific department would be that it should try and increase their funds as it has
been seen that due to government change or political turmoil funds are decreased
that can cause problem to the people who are dependent on Akhuwat. For instance,
if AKHUWATS annual revenue is 10 crores that 10 crores as a whole should be
collected by fund raising department so that no disturbances should be made.
We can take the example of ABDUL SATTAR EDHI he was the biggest
philanthropist no one till date could beat him. His funds were not dependent on
anyone he worked independently and his organization was working tremendously
and so is Akhuwat just a little more effort is required.
There is nothing impossible to they who will try.
