Problem: the lack of ethics and awareness of citizens towards the environment when throwing their daily
waste
into different water sources such as rivers.
Possible solution 1:
Pros: Pros: carry out dialogues and talks with the communities to raise awareness in order to preserve the
Cons: water sources that are available.

Cons: seek help with government entities, since it is difficult to find who gives these talks, another
problem is that people do not attend these talks

Possible solution 2:
Pros: Pros: Policies as solutions to environmental pollution Policies aimed at reducing air pollution are a
Cons: solution or, to be more exact, a tool that allows progress in it.

Cons: There are many obstacles that make it difficult to achieve this goal. Among other aspects, it is a
cross-cutting problem, which affects very different social aspects, making policy favorable to greater
environmental quality complex.
Possible solution 3:
Pros: Pros: make a continuous control and registration of the area, so that the person follows the rules or
Cons else they will be forced to pay a fine.

Cons: people evade the rules and confront the control entities
- pro, by having a better record of waste, control entities may be more aware.

Final Solution: Reasons to choose it and conclusions

 Promote the use of renewable energy such as collecting rainwater and also the use of wind energy or
solar panels which can help a lot in the growth of the city.
 Promote more days without the use of the car, so as to mitigate air and hearing pollution, so that in
turn encourage the use of public transport or also the use of bicycles and clean vehicles.
 We will plant a kind of tree colloquially called “Gallinero”, which is a tree that helps a lot to collect
the CO2 that is found in the air of the city. These trees will be planted in certain specific areas of the
city where there is a greater flow of pollution, also in parks and green areas.

Andres:
According to a study from the Bucaramanga Metropolitan Area (AMB), the main sources of pollution are vehicles,
mainly trucks, four-stroke motorcycles, and dump trucks. Kento claims that the air quality in Bucaramanga is better
than in cities like Medellin, Bogota, or Cali. One of the reasons is that Bucaramanga is a less industrialized city than
these three capitals.

There are several types of pollution, among which air pollution, water contamination, land pollution, and pollution
by garbage stand out.

Cristian:
Currently the air quality in the metropolitan area is between good and acceptable: "Well, the air quality in
Bucaramanga, if you look at the measurement indicators, is not bad, the main pollutant already identified by
previous studies is particulate matter " says Magara Gomez, an environmental engineer. In addition, the
Bucaramanga Metropolitan Area (AMB) assures that the biggest sources of pollution are cars, mainly trucks, four-
stroke motorcycles and dump trucks. Another factor that influences air quality is the conditions climatic conditions
caused by the dry season at this time of the year.

Juliana y Aurora:
Juliana: In the first place, you give as an example a problem seen today "The lack of ethics and awareness of citizens
towards the environment when throwing their daily waste into different water sources such as rivers." From here
come several possible solutions and what would be their cons:
- Pros: Carry out dialogues and talks with the communities to raise awareness in order to preserve the water sources
that are available
-Aurora: cons:seek help with government entities, since it is difficult to find who gives these talks, another problem is
that people do not attend these talks
-Juliana: Solution: Policies as solutions to environmental pollution
-Aurora: Pros: Policies aimed at reducing air pollution are a solution or, to be more exact, a tool that allows progress
in it.
-Aurora: Cons: There are many obstacles that make it difficult to achieve this goal. Among other aspects, it is a cross-
cutting problem, which affects very different social aspects, making policy favorable to greater environmental quality
complex.
- Juliana: Solution: make a continuous control and registration of the area, with that the person follows the rules or
else they will be forced to pay a fine:
-Aurora: Pros: by having a better record of waste, control entities may be more aware.
-Aurora: Cons: People evade the rules and confront the control entities.

Ana:

After carrying out these steps, we realize that the only way to make the majority of human beings carry out these
environmental protection protocols is through strict rules in which if they are not fully carried out, they will have
their consequences.
We know that despite these rules and trying to consent to all human beings, it will not be possible to comply with a
100% good behavior, but if we continue to do these campaigns, sharing the consequences and all the effects of these
problems little by little More people are joining to make the change and reduce this great contamination.
