Message from the University Health Service

To: All Eligible Users of University Health Service

Quadrivalent (4 in 1) Seasonal Influenza Vaccination 2022/23

Seasonal influenza vaccination 2022/23 will be available in the University Health Service from 6
October 2022 onwards, while stock lasts.

Seasonal Influenza vaccine (2022/23) available at the University Health Service is quadrivalent
(4 in 1) and has the following composition:

1. A/ Victoria / 2570/2019 (H1N1) pdm09 - like virus


2. A/ Darwin / 9/2021 (H3N2) - like virus
3 B/ Austria / 1359417/2021 (B/Victoria lineage) - like virus
4. B/ Phuket / 3073/2013 (B/Yamagata lineage) - like virus

Details:
Date: From 6 October 2022 onwards, while stock lasts
Time: 9:00 am - 4:30 pm (Mon - Fri)
Target: Priority groups# and all other eligible University members aged 6
months or above
Venue: University Health Service, 2/F Meng Wah Complex, HKU

HK$160 per dose (Cash Only, Exact Fee)


Cost: Free for those eligible for seasonal influenza vaccination under the
HKSAR Vaccination Subsidy Scheme (VSS)

Remarks:
1. It takes about 2 weeks after vaccination for the body to develop sufficient level of
antibodies.
2. In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, please note that you are NOT allowed to join the
Seasonal Influenza vaccination if:
a) you have fever/cough/breathing difficulty/sore throat/running nose/blocked
nose/myalgia/diarrhoea/vomiting/recent onset of loss of smell or taste
b) you have positive COVID-19 test (PCR or rapid antigen test) in the past 14 days
AND still subject to compulsory isolation order
c) you have been a close contact of anyone with positive COVID-19 test (PCR or
rapid antigen test) AND still subject to compulsory quarantine order
d) you have left Hong Kong in the past 3 days
# Priority groups include, but are not limited to the following:
 Health care workers, students or staff engaged in clinical work
 People with occupational exposure to pigs / poultry / birds
 Age ≧ 50
 Children between the age of 6 months to 11 years
 People with Chronic Medical Problems
 People with BMI 30 or above
 Pregnant women (At any gestational age)
