 Definition and Use of Communication
Every communication involves (at least) one sender, a message, and a recipient.
This may sound simple, but communication is actually a very complex subject.
The transmission of the message from sender to recipient can be affected by a
huge range of things. These include our emotions, the cultural situation, the
medium used to communicate, and even our location. The complexity is why
good communication skills are considered so desirable by employers around the
world: accurate, effective, and unambiguous communication is extremely hard.
There are four main types of communication we use daily: verbal, nonverbal,
written, and visual. With all of these communication styles, it's most effective
when you know how to actively listen, observe and empathize.

 Key words
1. Emisor/ Sendor: The sender is an individual, group, or organization who
initiates the communication.
2. Receptor/ Receiver: The receiver is the recipient of the message and must
translate the words into thoughts, process the thoughts, and determine
how to respond to the sender.
3. Mensaje/ Message: A message is a communication or statement conveyed
from one person or group to another.
4. Codigo/ Encode: Encoding is the process of turning thoughts into
communication.
5. Canal/ Channel: Mediums through which you can send a message to its
intended audience. For example, phone calls, text messages, emails, video,
radio, and social media are all types of communication channels.
