Title of the Job Proposal: Turn Down Attendant

1/ Objective of Proposal:

Turndown Service is a trademark of top-notch hotels and is one of the indispensable room services.
This would provide the guest a beautiful, compact space in the evening and create a comfortable
feeling before sleeping. The concept of turndown service has been developed to provide a soothing
homey environment to get the ultimate guest satisfaction.

2/ New position(s) Job Descriptions:

3/ Rationale:

To ensure that all the occupied rooms will receive the quality turndown service in a timely manner,
it’s mandatory to have a specific Turndown Attendant on duty. The main purpose of this is to make
sure that during the guest are out of the rooms during evening hours (for having dinner or
sightseeing), the attendant can enter the guest room to turn down the bed sheets, freshen the guest
room before the they come back.

It is obvious that evening shift is quite smaller than the day shift, but it needs fast service. In general,
one attendant needs to serve close to 20 rooms per hour, means a turndown service only gets 5
minutes to arrange a guest room. Turndown Attendant should be very well looked, skilled and quite
silent by nature to avoid troublesomeness to the guests. Also we can do some extra services, such as:
placing a card to wish guest have a pleasant night, or putting a doorknob morning breakfast card,
replenishing fruit basket with fresh fruits, filling the ice bucket… which will be a nice touch in terms
of personalize service.

4/ Budgetary Allocation:

The anticipated range for a new head count of Turn Down Attendant is from XXX to XXX,
depending on the education and experience of the candidate.

5/ Impact:

I strongly believe the Turn Down Attendant will bring to GLOW Scenia Bay Nha Trang a more
complete and luxury in terms of service quality and guest satisfaction. It is my goal and aspiration to
improve the highest qualities for the establishment by employing vital positions that have been
proven to be effective.
