Crocodile

Crocodiles are reptiles. They are cold-blooded with a backbone and are
covered in scaly and dry skin. Since crocodiles have existed long ago on Earth
from the time of the dinosaurs, they are also known as the ‘living fossils’.
Crocodiles are extremely rapid swimmers because of their webbed feet.

Though crocodiles are very scary, the female crocodiles make very
excellent mothers. Female crocodiles are a little bit smaller when compared to
males. Crocodile mothers look after their nest built on the land. They even
place the eggs in their own mouth and roll them to help the newborn hatch.
When the babies are newly born, the mothers carry them to water and until
they are able to swim on their own, they are protected by the mothers away
from the predators.

Crocodiles eat almost anything they encounter as long as it is meat. Fish is

considered a common food for the crocodiles, but they will definitely try and
eat any animal that gets close to it. The largest living reptiles, the saltwater
crocodile, can prey on a monkey in one feeding, a shark, or even a water buffalo.
In conclusion, nothing gets left behind in a crocodile’s dinner.

Crocodiles are reptiles. They have scaly and dry skin. They have been on
Earth for a very long time, even when dinosaurs were around and that is why
they are called 'living fossils.' Crocodiles are excellent swimmers because of
their feet.

Even though crocodiles might seem scary, female crocodiles are amazing
mothers. They are a bit smaller than male crocodiles. When it's time to have
babies, the mother crocodile builds a nest on the land. She gently carries the
eggs in her mouth and rolls them to help the little ones come out. After they
are born, the mom takes them to the water and keeps them safe from danger
until they can swim by themselves.

Crocodiles are not picky eaters. They love to eat meat, and they will
gobble up anything that comes near them. Fish is a favourite food, but they are
strong enough to eat animals like monkeys, sharks, and even water buffaloes!
The saltwater crocodile is the biggest reptile alive.
