Geographic Jurisdiction of Department: Whole Country Operating from Head office.

Main Responsibility:

IT wing-

 UP and Running of Office IT network: IT wing have to provide 24/7 support


including all customer care centers and Branch Offices of whole country (Almost
70 Branch Offices).
 IT Support: To ensure easy electronic office communication and smooth office
communication for all the TBL staffs we provide IT Support for Email, Terminals,
IP-PABX, CCTV Cameras, Attendance Devices, etc.
 Maintenance and Administration IT Infrastructure - Virtualization Platform: VM
Ware, Fusion Sphere. Almost 200+ Virtual Machines are running on these
platforms.
 IT Infrastructure - IT Network: Regular Maintenance, Monitor and
Administration IT Network Devices Routers (18 no’s), Switches (130+ no’s), Wifi
Routers and Network lease line Links (70+ links) etc.
 IT Services: Need to monitor, troubleshoot and provide support on regular basis
for Many servers ( DNS, Web, Email, DMB IVR, CCTV Cameras Systems,
Attendance System, ERP, DMS, Biometric Verification System etc. )
 Security: To ensure the TBL whole IT network and Infrastructure secure from
Internal as well external threats we have to monitor, maintain, troubleshoot and
configure security devices (Firewall 06 number), 02 Load Balancers.
 IPSec VPN : For secure and encrypted communication between TBL and
external parties (NTMC, BTRC, MFS, BANKS, Telecom Operators, CPs and
remoter users) we need to configure IPSec VPN and maintain it regularly.
 In-house Development: Officials of IT wing’s also played a major role to
introduced some important servers by developing in-house for day to day
services of TBL like Dashboard, SAF server, Attendance System, Employee Apps,
Utility Bill Systems.
 Procurement: IT wing also need to take part/involved procurement process for
the Software, Servers and Services etc.

staffs and branch offices of the whole country of Teletalk..

Challenges:

 Shortage of Manpower
 Three is no approved IT policy.
 Inadequate Resources of the Systems.
 Automatic Backup Solutions for Servers, Services and Storages.
 AMC required for Virtualization Platforms (both Haredware and Software) Email Solution and
Security Devices (Firewall)
 System Security: Endpoint Protection need to introduce for all the terminals and Servers.
Inadequate Firewall features for IDS, IPS and DDoS etc.
