QUESTION 2: TYPES OF
TOURISTS

The type of tourists that Simon and Portia can both be

classi ed as , is ecotourism travellers who enjoy adventure
and cultural experiences. Ecotourism

Is when tourists want to travel to experience the natural

environment and experience di erent cultures. The
sustainable use of resources is important to these tourists.
An example of this type of tourism would be visiting the
Kruger National Park in Mpumalanga/ Limpopo.

Three Examples of activities ecotourists would usually

participate in could be, 4x4 Game drives, walking safaris,
Camping, guided tours, and photography. The Limpopo
Province would be a great choice for them because it
celebrates a rich cultural heritage and at many
archaeological sites the mysteries of the past are still being
discovered. Named after the great Limpopo River that ows
along its northern border, this province is rich in wildlife,
spectacular scenery and a wealth of historical and cultural
treasures.
