FYP Proposal Guidelines

Please carefully and thoroughly read given below guidelines before writing your own FYP
proposal. Every proposal will be evaluated based on the benchmark set by these guidelines.

1: Novelty of the Project

Moderately describe how unique, creative, and interesting your idea is. The more it is similar to
the projects that have been implemented often before the less novel will it be. Thoroughly,
review your idea and the relevant work that has already been done to identify the degree of
novelty by yourself. Your project must not be a repeated project.

2: Scope and Applicability

Provide a comprehensive abstract, focusing on the main features and functionality of your
project. Also include a brief description of the constraints, limitations and any assumptions you
might have made. The scope must clearly state that your planned project is achievable, realistic
and involves enough work, and justifies a year long duration. Your proposal must also report the
real world applications of your work.

3: Technical Complexity
The more your project uses the novel technical features the more will it be technically complex.
Therefore, clearly identify the level of technical complexity in your project and ensure that your
team is technically sound enough to cope with it.

4: Amount of Work Required

How much effort will be required to complete this work within the assigned time period? Include
a work breakdown structure, state the role of each team member and the estimated workload per
team member.

5: Usefulness
Describe how and to what extent your work will be contributing towards the betterment of
community.

6: Learning Outcomes
Explain all kinds of concepts that you potentially will have learned after completing this project.

Final Year Project Proposal

For probably the first time in your undergraduate/graduate program, you are required to defend a
proposal of a larger project. In teams, you will be working on the common project but individual
team members will be required to take on responsibilities for specific work for which each will
be held accountable. Interaction, collaboration and assistance are allowed and expected, but each
person will receive an individual mark/grade for his/her work performed in the project.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

According to a community health centre in Pakistan, 22% to 60% of people face severe
health issues which can be heart disease, cancer, brain tumor, mental stress, anxiety, and
depression. Many times it can happen that people feel embarrassed or ashamed to visit
doctors. In such cases, a digital doctor, counsellors, or online mental therapist can be very
beneficial.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Many people find it challenging to find the right doctor nearby. They have too many
responsibilities to leave the house for an appointment, a consultation, or to return to
appointment regularly.

The system will be treating different groups or individuals. There will be multiple doctors
available at the portal. The end-user can select any physician based on their ratings,
reviews, and fees.

Our medical bot will first assess the user condition and try to resolve their issue but if they
want to have a live consulting session the system will allow the user to have a live video
session with the physician. It can be used in conjunction with in-person consultation for
certain individuals.

The system will have machine learning algorithms which will assess the patients medical
report and diagnose accordingly.

There are many advantages to "human wellbeing," including reduced costs, greater
discretion, and a wide range of physicians to choose from. The best platforms are also
extremely secure. The system will be designed with privacy and security features that equal
those found in banks.

INTRODUCTION

People having severe illness were not able to visit doctors and hence caused more health
damage including anxiety and depression on the rise during the pandemic, it has been
challenging for people to get the help they need.
Although mental illness is widespread- 25% of adults in developed countries experience
significant mental health problems each year- the treatment is outdated and lacking.
There are many advantages of online consultation and some are mentioned below:
Smart medical system offers access to proper health treatment to people in rural or remote
areas. Those who live in rural areas simply might not have access to any other form of
health treatment because there are few or no health practices in their area.

We design an application in which people have easy access to the best doctors available.
This application will store the patient’s data securely so they do not have to add it again
and the doctor can easily diagnose the problem.

The main advantage our app will have over the Marham app is that we will provide cost-
effective solution along with the automated diagnosis system and a medical bot to help
patients explain their health problems easily.

OBJECTIVES

The main objective of this system is to reduce health problems up to some extent and
providing guidance to people according to overcome their health problems including hear
disease, cancer, brain tumor, anxieties and depressions. This system will
recommend physician related to patient medical record. The related physician will be
able to diagnose the patient according to their medical history available with us.

MOTIVATION

To help save time of people and also give medical access to those who cannot afford to
get proper medical treatment.
