Good evening to our respected, YB Datuk Lee Kim Shin, Minister of

Transport in the cabinet of Sarawak, YB Dato’ Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew
(N.73 Piasau), Cik Hajah Shirini from PPD Miri, Mr. Gerald Goh from St.
Joseph Alumni, Mr. Matthew Silek, the President of Parent-Teacher
Association of SMK St. Joseph Miri, our beloved principal, Mr. Ng Meng
Heong and honourable guests.

Tonight, we are gathered here to commemorate the retirement of

a brilliant principal, Mr. Ng. He will be bidding farewell to us after years
of dedicated service to the field of education. He is not only a teacher
but also guidance to all, leading us to the correct path and made us
realize what success in life stands for.

Hence, on behalf of SMK St. Joseph school board, I am here to

honour and extend my most sincere thanks to him for contributing and
leading SMK St. Joseph to be one of the top schools in Miri. With his
guidance and effort, SMK St. Joseph managed to excel and shine in
2018 and 2019 SPM. With this, please give a big applause to Mr. Ng.

Hence, I would like to take this great opportunity to express my

sincerest of gratitude to Mr. Ng. We wish you a contented and blessed
retirement life. God bless all. Thank you.

Teacher Association of SMK St. Joseph Miri, our beloved principal, Mr.
Ng Meng Heong and honourable guests.

Tonight, we are gathered here to show our love and respect to

Mr. Ng, the principal of SMK St. Joseph, Miri. Mr Ng, a dedicated
teacher cum educator, who has shown us that teachers can make a
great difference in students’ life. Throughout his lifetime, he
contributed a lot, not only in academic wise, but also improving school
learning environment which I think is impressive. When it comes to Mr.
Ng’s achievements, we can write endless books about them.

All in all, Mr. Ng has been working tirelessly and now, it is time to
enjoy what he has labored for all over the years. I pray for your good
health and may you find life after retirement a happy one with lots of
beautiful memories. Thank you.
