necessary

(b) 0.038λ, 0.359λ
(c) 0.376 λ, 0.122λ
(d) 2.7

frequency of 10 MHz over a distance of several hundred feet to a load. The rms value of current in
the line conductor must not exceed 25 Amp at any point. What is the highest value of VSWR that can
be tolerated on the line?
Hint – Power should be function of Г

Hint- find input impedance at quarter wave transformer and then find Г at 100-ohm line
Find magnitude of Г and assume operating frequency is near the design frequency f0 and assume
Г=Гm where Гm is reflection coefficient at quarter wave transformer and accordingly find fractional

Ans- 0.396 GHz

10. A 75 Ω lossless coaxial cable is connected to an antenna of impedance 75 + j25 Ω at one end and
to a generator at the other end. The internal impedance of the generator is 50 Ω. What should be
the length of the cable so that maximum power is delivered to the antenna?

Hint – Zin should be function of length

Ans – 0.8435λ
