Shifting of mortar from mixing area to
working area

Block laying:
Shifting of block to the work location

Plastering and Splashing cement on the
wall
Eye injury Ensure pre start briefing given to workers in task-based manner. Supervisor/

Scaffolds Falls Scaffolds must be used and inspected in accordance with the Safety Officer
Damaged/Broken Equipment manufacturer’s instruction for each specific model and type of scaffold

Improper Use Ensure all wheels equipped locked before climbing, all bolts and nuts
must be tight, and all cotter pins must be in place and secured before
use.
All scaffolds to be erect under the supervision of a scaffold

When working off scaffolds that are four ft. or more above a
walking/working surface, fall protection, guardrails and handrails are
required.
Ensure newly erected or modified scaffold are been inspected before
commencing in work.
Ensure scaffolding inspection on daily basis checked properly and tag
signed.
Ensure toe board, mid rail, guardrail and working platform all time.
Ensure scaffolds moved to other locations after getting the worker
down from the height.
Use Proper PPE while carrying works.
This HS Risk Assessment takes into account only those potential hazards that exist at the time it was conducted. A revised Risk Assessment will be required if there is a significant change in
working conditions, at critical stages during construction, or when High Risk Construction Work is performed.
