ABSTRACT

The project objective of this project was to basically empower the society by providing them the knowledge
from the professional in the field on importance of having an impressive CV and how to create such CV
which will benefit them on their career lives to overcome the current competitive job market from different
perspectives including as a job hunters, promotion seekers, who are looking for switching companies, who is
about to start their freelancing career, who wants to overcome stagnation, to identify areas of improvements
and to remind themselves of their potential. As a club we targeted through this online webinar to serve the
society as well as to be served as Leos by providing the familiarity on how to effectively communicate the
most important pieces of information of on resume.

PROJECT NEED ASSESSMENT

Benefiting Community Curriculum vitae is an essential document which reflects person’s

professional journey as it is doing a one-minute presentation of his carrier
life. This project broadly explained on how to create an impressive
Curriculum vitae, and this will profit anyone who are in different stages of
their career life. Therefore, this project will benefit not only job hunters and
those who are looking for switching companies but also anyone who is about
to start their freelancing career, who wants to overcome stagnation, to
identify areas of improvements and to remind themselves of their potential
not only as employees but also as employers who are looking for recruit
employees.

Identified Community It was identified about the lack of importance people give to their CV, yet it is
Need an important document which provides a one-minute presentation not only
about their experiences but also their academic, professional, and
extracurricular qualifications. Further, it was identified that people only think
about their CV when they are looking for a job or a promotion. However, it
should be ensured that it’s always up-to-date and always reflects the best
version of themselves. Hence, the importance of a well-written CV should not
be underestimated, and it was identified by us that the need of making aware
of the people about the importance of having an impressive CV and how to
create such CV.

Service Opportunity To thrive in the fiercely competitive job market of today, it has to be thought
of the resume as an advertisement, targeted towards future bosses. Further,
as Leos, we have a responsibility to enhance the interpersonal
communication skills of our club members and outsiders. Therefore, it was
taken as a best opportunity to serve and to be served by providing
knowledge on an Impressive CV from the professional on the field, basically,
how to effectively communicate the most important pieces of information of
them on their resume.

Mode of Data The mode of data collection was mainly collected from our club members
Collection who are from the age group of 16 – 30 years of age and on different stages
of their career lives including school leavers, undergraduates, university
leavers, job hunters, freelancers including those who are looking for
switching companies, who is about to start their freelancing career, who
wants to overcome stagnation, to identify areas of improvements and to
remind themselves of their potential from different fields. Hence, the
targeted beneficiaries are not only employees but also employers who is
looking for recruit employees.

successfully completed with the participation of our club members as well as
visiting club members and outsiders. The project chairman of this webinar, Leo

Benaragama who is a certified Professional Resume writer. Each and every club
member supported to advertise the posts on this webinar to inform the target
