The yarn used in this Pre-MCAL is NOT included in the Piggy MCAL yardage.
This Pre-MCAL has no reflection of the Piggy MCAL, they are completely 2 separate
patterns.
You ARE crocheting a little piggy.
Some pieces in this pattern can be “fiddly” because of the small rounds.
1
● Hdc - half double crochet
● St - stitch
● Sts - stitches
● Rpt - repeat
● Inc - increase, 2 sc in the same space
● Dec - decrease or sc2tog (single crochet 2 together)
Note : All pieces are made in a continuous spiral unless otherwise stated. Most pieces
begin with a magic ring, but you can also use a ch 2 to start.
Assembling instructions are at the end of the pattern.

with 3 sc, hdc in the last ch (10 sts)
Snout
Rnd 1 ~ Chain 4, sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, sc in the next st, increase with 3 sc in the
last ch. Now working on the other side of the foundation chain, sc, inc in the last st. (8
sc)
Rnd 2 ~ in the back loops only - sc in the next 3 sts, inc/ rpt (10 sc)
3
Rnd 3 ~ back to both loops - sc in the next 4 sts, inc / rpt (12 sc)
● Sl st in the next st.
● Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.
Step 1 ~ With your yarn needle, sew the remaining hole of the body closed.
Step 2 ~ Sew the arms to the side of the body, in a slanted position.
Step 3 ~ Sew the legs to the bottom of the body, pointing away from the face.
Step 4 ~ Sew the snout onto the head, right below the eyes, centered.
4
Step 5 ~ Sew the ears onto each side of the head. After sewing on the ears, fold the
tips of the ears inward.
Step 7 ~ Embroider nostrils onto your piggy’s nose. With this piggy being so
little, I found it very hard to get both nostrils to be exactly equal. I do think
this adds even more character!
