I, Maureen M. Olvis, a student Researcher from the University of Cebu AB Political Science Graduating batch 2023, am
working on the study on The Philippines’ State of Affairs Against Wildlife Crime in Region VII: The Case of Black
Shama in Alcoy, Province of Cebu, Philippines. This is in compliance with the subject PolSc El412 (Thesis Writing in
the Major Field).

In light with this, the undersigned is asking for your consent to permit the undersigned to interview one of the Alcoy
Forest Wardens for this study. This study one falls under the National Bio-Security Challenges of the land and is under the
jurisdiction of the Philippine Center on Transnational Crime Region 7 in coordination with the Department of
Environment and Natural Resources-Biodiversity Management Bureau 7 per R.A. 9147 otherwise known as the Wildlife
Resources Conservation and Protection Act of 2001.

The Researcher is humbly requesting your good Office to authorize her do this study in coordination with your office and
to interview one Forest Wardens .Any Representative of the forest warden team would be subject to a case interview. The
interviewee is hereby protected by the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and all the data acquired will be placed under its highest
sense of value and of the utmost confidentiality.
