I. INTRODUCTION
 OBJECTIVES
we shall consider the materials that result forces acting laterally
to their axis, to cause bending.
 CONTENTS
- Shear force diagram and Bending moment: distribution of
shear force and bending moment along the beam.
- Bending stress and shear stress: the distribution of those
tresses in cross section of beam.
 APPLICATION
- Experiment to determine bending strength of materials.
- Calculate the strength of mechanical system
- Basic knowledge for the next lectures: Mechanical
behavior of materials.
