Boracay of the South and More

Ma. Krisanta B. Pensader

If you notice, when people say “Glan”, you automatically think of prestige white sand
beaches, deep blue waters, magnificent sunsets, and such that reminds you of your desired
summer getaway. But, as a local here in Glan, there are obviously a lot more sceneries Glan
could offer.
The amazing thing with Glan is that beaches are divided with the sand, and it still really
baffles me how the color of the sand differs in each seashore and bay line. Starting with these
well-known resorts just before población which are Hacienda Don Juan and Belmar Eco Park,
found in Brgy. Lago and Brgy. Cabug and aside from their amenities, their seashores along with
beaches near them, are filled with flourish rocky white sand.
Meanwhile, just a five-minute ride and you’ll arrive at Kikai’s Beach Resort and the
local’s favorite which is the Yaka-yaka Beach (term was from having no cottages and seats, just
pure picnic themes.) These resorts are found in Brgy. Tango and what made this beaches special
is because of its pure black sand seashore. See? Even if these areas are not in the faves of
tourists, locals indeed have a strong attachment to these beaches.
The next beaches we’ll tackle will be most familiar to you, since these are in Brgy.
Gumasa, but there are new resorts around the corner that will definitely give you a new tourist
feels. These resorts includes InstaGlan, Wella’s Bayview, Anvy Beach Resort and these are
alongside the famous Manny “PacMan” Pacquiao’s rest-house and what made this distinct from
other beaches is it’s powdery white sand and faux sandbars, that gives you a little bit of a Siargao
vibe.
Lastly, if you’ve been to the famous Stilleto and Floating Cottages of Burias, few more
kilometers and you will reach the third sand color Glan has to offer. Bai Resort and Ireneo
Salmon are just few of the new rising beach resorts in Glan that has incredible gray sand and has
the widest beach strait. I can say, as a local in Glan, it really deserves the “Boracay of the
South,” name but as what I have written and said, Glan has surely a lot more to offer. Tara na!
Mag Tour-Town Glan kita!
