If you’re adventuring through this sector after it has been raining heavily,
you may have to take off your shoes a few times to cross the Vagarosa and
Sobrosa streams, which add a new dimension of beauty to the route, with
their riparian vegetation.
The Odiáxere, or Bravura, Dam and reservoir, with its green margins, certainly
leaves a striking mark on the route too.
The farmland, made up of fields, gardens and orchards, as well as forest areas
filled with cork oak groves, pine forests and clusters of eucalyptuses spread
into the distance before you, a hugely diverse landscape that is far from
monotonous, holding the interest of those who travel through this sector.

water network, it being the main watercourse in the Municipality of Lagos.
Starting in the Espinhaço de Cão Hills, this is the stream that flows directly
into Lagos Bay 15km later, having brought together the waters of smaller
streams, such as the Machada, Corte do Bispo, Sabrosa and Candeeira. It
also plays an important role in the hydrology of the Lagos region, as it feeds
directly into the Almádena – Odiáxere aquifer, also serving as an important
water source for local farmers.
