focused on providing a clean and healthy environment for a better and faster recovery
of the patients. The central concept of her theory is to have a therapeutic environment
that will enhance the comfort and recovery of the patient. Now, the question… what are
the seven components of the Environmental theory that she provided again?
Student 1: (raised their hand) She provided seven components of the environment and
those are Proper Ventilation, Adequate Light, Cleanliness, Warmth, Quiet, Diet, and
Management.
Professor: That’s right. Thank you, Ms/Mr. ______. She provides Proper Ventilation,
Adequate Light, Cleanliness, Warmth, Quiet, Diet, and Management, which are all
rooted in her observations during the Crimean War…
Professor: Up until now, those seven are still presently observed in our hospitals…

hospital room.)

(The camera will focused on how the nurse will fixed all the things and clean the side
table. The clean environment around the room.)
Narrator: Nightingale’s contributions are still being used today in real life setting
especially in hospitals. She contributed important factors and knowledge for the nurses
to apply in their work so the patients will have a comfortable, faster and better recovery.
