TRC497 SOFTWARE VERSION 1.6 UPGRADE

Effectivity: SKYWATCH TRC497 P/N 805-10800-xxx

Reason: To correct ARINC 735 output data.

Compliance: Field units need this upgrade only if the TRC is interfaced to an alternate display (e.g.,
GARMIN 430) that is using the ARINC 735 own aircraft heading (Label 320) sent by the
TRC.
NOTE
As of this writing, the GARMIN 430 is the only SKYWATCH
alternate display identified as using Label 320. To interface with
the GARMIN 430, upgrade to software level 1.6 or higher is
mandatory.

Description: The input/output processor code was changed to correct the ARINC 735 data output.

Approval: The installation of software version 1.6 is approved by the Manager, Chicago Aircraft
Certification Office, ACE-115C and, by letter dated January 10, 2000 as an alternative
method of compliance with AD 98-25-02.

Manpower: Removal and replacement of the TRC497 should take .5 hours. Time is not reimbursable
by BFG Avionics Systems.

Materials: This software upgrade is a factory modification only. If required, the upgrade will be
provided at no cost during the TRC warranty period.

ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS

It is not necessary to call BFG Avionics Systems for a return authorization. Send the TRC497 to:
