EFFECTIVITY: Skywatch TRC-497 Processors with Software Version 1.3

SUBJECT: Field Software Upgrades

PURPOSE: To inform Avionics Systems Skywatch Dealers that Software Version 1.5 is no
longer available.

ADVISORY:
To expedite alternate means of compliance with Skywatch AD-98-25-02, Avionics Systems issued SB-79
in November 1998 which allowed field upgrade of the TRC-497 to Software Version 1.5 (Software Kit
P/N 816-10800-001). Software Version 1.6 is now available and will be a factory only upgrade. Upgrade
to 1.6 is not mandatory. Refer to SB-82 for details regarding Software Version 1.6.

Avionics Systems will no longer provide Software Version 1.5 as a field upgrade.

Any TRC-497 (P/N 805-10800-001) requiring software upgrade must be returned to Avionics Systems at
