Reason: Consistent with FAA Order 8110.4C and AC21-40, L-3 Communications
Avionics Systems, Inc. grants permission to L-3 Avionics Systems Dealers,
installers, and owners of the SKYWATCH® SKY497 Traffic Avoidance System
and associated equipment to use this STC and the data associated with it, for the
sole purpose of installation and approval of the SKYWATCH® SKY497 System
on the aircraft associated with the listed STC’s.

Description: See figures 1 thru 4 for STC cover pages.

Approval: This Service Letter contains no modification information that revises the approved
configuration and therefore does not require government or other regulatory
agency approval.

Export This technical data is controlled under the Export Administration Regulations and
Compliance may not be exported to a foreign person, either in the United States or abroad
without the proper authorization of the U.S. Department of Commerce. [ECCN 7E994]
