Preparation

Surfaces must be sound, clean, dry and free from any materials which may impair the
adhesion of WP555. Pre wet and saturate the substrate surface (no free surface water)
with potable water before applying WP555.

Mixing

Pour approx. 3.6 L of potable water in to a suitable, clean rust free container and slowly
add WP555 (20 kg) while mixing with slow speed mechanical mixer. Mix thoroughly for
2-3 minutes to blend all the dry mix powder till the mortar is free from lumps. Leave the
mortar for 5 minutes and remix again for 1 minute before applying.

Application

Apply the WP555 over the prepared surface to a uniform thickness of 4-40mm and
comb the surface using a suitable notched trowel. If required adhesive can be applied in
two layers after the initial setting of the first layer. Fix the tiles immediately over the
adhesive tightly in position by applying hand pressure on the tiles or use a rubber
hammer to remove air and ensure a good bond. The open time for the adhesive under
standard condition is approx. 30 min, this can be reduced under elevated temperatures
and humidity conditions. It is necessary to fix the tiles on the adhesive before the skin is
formed on the surface. In any case tiles should not be fixed on the skin formed or a set
adhesive mortar. The tiles can be cleaned with wet cloth before fixing to remove the
dust and dirt, it is not necessary to wet the tiles. Apply the adhesive on the substrate by
areas of around 1 m² each for the optimum usage of the open time.

It is recommended to have the adhesive buttered onto the back of tiles sized more than
1600 cm2. Protect the tiling area from heavy traffic for minimum 3 days.

Precaution: During the application of WP555 provide measures to protect it from direct
sunlight, wind, rain and dampness. Use the product only for the recommended
application. Always adopt good work practice at site. Wuensch Plaster will not be
responsible for any defects caused due to the in-correct or non-recommended usage of
the product. Contact Wuensch Plaster technical team for any usage of the product other
than mentioned above.
